Changelog · Written by hand

What we've shipped, and what we've taken out.

Short, honest release notes. If we removed a thing, we say so. If a release had a bug that hurt anyone's practice, we write about that, too.

2.4 · Orb, again
April 11, 2026 Minor

We rebuilt Orb from scratch on a Metal shader that draws at 120 Hz even on older iPhones. It breathes where it used to stutter.

  • NewOrb v2. A ground-up rewrite. Smoother motion, quieter color transitions, and a new "twilight" palette that feels right at dusk.
  • NewPreset share. Clinicians can now share a preset via QR code — client scans, preset lands. No account needed on the client side.
  • FixedHaptic intensity on iPhone 15 sometimes drifted 1 step upward over long sessions. Resolved.
  • FixedThe Apple Watch complication occasionally started stimulation when the wrist was tapped lightly. Threshold tightened.
  • RemovedThe little green "session saved" toast. It was reassuring, and then it was noise.
2.3.1
March 27, 2026 Patch

A small patch to fix one thing that was affecting a small number of clinician accounts. If you were affected, we emailed you directly.

  • FixedPractice libraries with more than 60 presets failed to sync to iPad in some regions. Root cause: a pagination bug we introduced in 2.3. Sorry.
2.3 · Practice, quietly
March 10, 2026 Minor

The first full version of the Practice plan. Shared preset libraries, in-session iPad remote, and a DPA + BAA available for every signup.

  • NewPractice libraries. Build a preset once, use it with every client on the team.
  • NewiPad remote. Steer speed and intensity during a session from a separate device, over local Bluetooth.
  • NewBAA + DPA. Signable from the admin panel. Thanks to the 40 practices who gave us notes on the language.
  • Removed"Focus score." It was a number the app assigned to your session. We did not like it, and you mostly did not either.
2.2 · AirPods haptics
February 4, 2026 Minor

A mode we've wanted since day one: alternating soft clicks through AirPods Pro. For walks, for planes, for when your phone is in your pocket.

  • NewHeadphone mode. Alternating spatial-audio clicks on AirPods Pro (2nd gen and later). Volume is capped at 70% by design.
  • NewNight hours. Schedule stimulation between, say, 10pm and 7am to never exceed a "sleep-friendly" intensity.
  • FixedAccessibility: VoiceOver now announces the orb's current phase ("left, right, pause") during manual sets.
2.1.2
January 8, 2026 Patch
  • FixedBedtime reminder fired occasionally at 6am for a tiny set of timezone configurations. Resolved.
  • FixedOn iOS 17.5, the Dynamic Island indicator sometimes persisted after a session ended. Resolved.
2.1 · Android, finally
December 12, 2025 Minor

After a long beta, TheraJoy is on Android. Feature-parity with iOS on every core mode; Apple-only features (Watch complication, AirPods haptics) still live on iOS.

  • NewAndroid app. Requires Android 13+. Haptic calibration is per-device; we've tuned defaults for Pixel 7/8, Galaxy S23/S24, and OnePlus 11.
2.0 · Quieter
October 1, 2025 Major

A rewrite that removed half the settings. We took out any screen that existed to sell you on a feature. The app is smaller, and we're happier.

  • NewSingle-screen home. One tap starts your last preset. Everything else is a drawer.
  • Removed"Weekly insights." We do not want to tell you how you did this week.
  • RemovedThe "share your calm" card. It was fine; it was also not what this app is for.
  • RemovedThe onboarding quiz. You now begin with a single preset we chose for you: "Calm place, 3 minutes."
