Common questions

Do clients need to pay to join a session?

No. Clients who join a therapist's remote session download TheraJoy free and never need a subscription. Only the therapist hosting the session needs a Pro plan.

What hardware do clients need?

Joy-Con controllers are required for tactile bilateral stimulation (any Nintendo Switch pair works, or purchased separately for ~$80). Visual and auditory BLS modes work without any controllers — just the iPhone or iPad.

What is the refund policy?

Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store. Apple's standard refund policy applies — request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Can I use TheraJoy without Joy-Cons?

Yes. Visual BLS (on-screen light bar) and auditory BLS (alternating tones via headphones) both work without any controllers. Joy-Cons are only required for the tactile haptic modality.

Do you offer discounts for group practices?

The Pro plan is per therapist — each therapist in a group practice needs their own subscription. Each subscription covers unlimited clients and unlimited sessions, so there are no per-session or per-client fees.
